eviivo Awards 2019
Multi-Property Wizard Award
We’re working with growing numbers of small, independent hotel chains and pub groups. Our Multi-Property Wizard Award category aims to find those who manage multiple units effectively while providing exceptional service to their guests. We know people can’t be everywhere at once, so delivery of quality service to guests across multiple properties is true master wizardry that relies on the effective use of modern technologies – think MI6’s expertise but for the property owner.
We are looking for property managers and concierges who look after multiple units, whether B&B, self-catering or serviced apartments. Extra levels of service, a warm welcome, easy access to the property and effective support to guests during their stay are key to success in this growing segment. Excellence in this area, along with strong brand identity and great guest feedback, will point us to this year’s winner.
Pubs with rooms are a significant portion of the UK accommodation industry, and this property group is an example of the standard and success that can be achieved. All guests are welcomed by a front of house team, treated with first class service, provided with clean and comfortable rooms, and can eat at the fantastic gastropub bars on site.
With more than 250 units, this group of properties has come on leaps and bounds in recent years by providing attentive customer service and a high standard of accommodation across the board. Guests can easily access their rooms themselves, using keyless check in systems and key boxes, and receive communication from a dedicated team.
Fresh flowers on arrival are provided for guests staying at these accommodation units and they can also expect free WiFi and a daily room service. A full time onsite maintenance employee is on hand and can be available within an hour should any problems arise, or guests can always pick up the phone and speak to the hosts if needed.
Short Stay St Andrews has created this collection of 26 properties by offering a full management service. All are based in St Andrews and the East Neuk of Fife. Guests are welcomed with a tartan hamper, filled with a bottle of wine, patriotic Tunnock’s Tea Cakes, some milk and sweets, and a postcard with a number to call in case of issues.
Across these 6 properties, guests can choose to be greeted in person by a dedicated member of staff, told about the local area and provided with refreshments, or they can check-in themselves – either way fresh flowers also make for a warm welcome. There is also an offsite masseur who guests can book independently throughout their stay.
This group of properties are a breath of fresh air in the independent accommodation industry in Wales. With WiFi, Netflix and an Amazon Dot in each unit, this property has one foot in the future and one in the traditional. Units housed in historic buildings, with modern facilities, ensure guests have a pleasant, comfortable and aesthetic place to stay.
Guests arrive to a sparklingly clean flat and any extras they’ve requested, such as breakfast items or special occasion gifts, are provided for their arrival. The hosts have created tranquil, luxury spaces for people who like to travel but want the comfort of being at home. For instance, restaurant recommendations and dog walking routes are suggested.
Nestled in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre, these apartments are a saving grace for visitors who don’t want to be confined to a hotel room. With free tea and coffee, WiFi, parking and breakfast included, guests have all the comforts of home during their stay. Bedding, towels, and toiletries are also provided so guests have nothing to worry about.
Managing three properties, these hosts give guests a warm and friendly welcome on arrival, talk them through the ins and outs of their stay, and hand them the keys so they can come and go as they please. Guests are left to it, provided with continental self-serve breakfast and all amenities needed for an enjoyable stay.
