eviivo Awards 2019
Why Enter?
You Only Live Twice
Entering a business award might seem like yet another thing for your to-do list, but there’s actually a lot of value in applying, and maybe even winning; especially within the independent accommodation industry. The eviivo Awards are an annual highlight and have been dubbed ‘the Oscars of the independent accommodation industry’.
The eviivo Awards evening itself is always a fantastic night, with great food, drinks and entertainment. This year it is being held at the fabulous Grand Connaught Rooms, in Covent Garden, London. Tickets are free, however for your chance to be at this not to be missed event, you must enter the awards.
Free Marketing
With eviivo’s awards, you can enter and receive free marketing from us. We’ll be working with our PR team to get shortlisted properties and winners as much press as we can.
“We have benefited from coverage in regional newspapers, leading lifestyle magazines, BBC Radio and even the travel section of the UK’s largest selling British national newspaper ran a feature on Woolmarket House. We simply couldn’t have generated that exposure without having won the award.”
Sarah Alexiou, Woolmarket House
Benchmarking
The applications and shortlisting process are a good opportunity to take a look at your business from a fresh perspective.
“Winning the award was certainly a big and welcome boost to our confidence in running our business. We have been here for 7 years and our only prior experience in hospitality had come from staying in hotels, so we have been learning as we go along.”
Kevin & Claire Braybrook, Bowens B&B
Increased Credibility
See an eviivo Award or shortlisting as a third-party endorsement for your property, much like an AA rosette. These accolades give potential guests another reason to book with you.
“It just lifted all our spirits and really did give us the hope and self-worth that we so needed, so to get your award when trying to do something so noncommercial and eco in its approach was so rewarding and I am incredibly grateful for it.”
Emma Robens, East Bridgford Hill
Quality Employees
Winning an award is a great ego boost for your team, which does wonders for staff morale and improve motivation in the workplace. It gives your employees something to be proud of and will focus them on the task at hand.
“The award timing was perfect – small business in those first three to four years is tough and being seen and having something appreciate all their hard work really did change the staff.”
Emma Robens, East Bridgford Hill
Recognition
As well as giving your team a pat on the back, being crowned an eviivo award winner will give you the recognition you deserve!
“Winning the award has made Graysonside stand out, showing that we can create not just any breakfast. Guests from far and wide have just come to see if the breakfast is really that good.”
Janette Likeman, Graysonside
Networking
Meet past award winners, celebrity judges and travel industry big-wigs at the awards and rub elbows with your industry peers.
“At the ceremony we met other accommodation providers and we shared stories, and so it was an informative as well as a really fun night. We are still in contact with some of them via social media which is lovely.”
Louise Sweeney & Christine Storey, Alnmouth Cottages
